Vince was a childhood friend of Dominic Toretto and an experienced street racer who was a prominent member of Dominic Toretto's Crew.

Biography

Early Life

Vince met Dominic Toretto in the third grade, after which they quickly became best friends. Sometime after 1991, Vince witnessed Dom's return after serving his prison sentence at Lompoc. Vince greeted Dom and later observed the street race on the Sixth Street Viaduct between Dom and Jakob Toretto and watched as Dom tricked Jakob into hitting the NOS too early and won the race.

The Fast and the Furious

Vince was first seen starting a fight with Brian O'Conner at Toretto's Market & Cafe the way Mia Toretto responded by saying to Dominic that she is sick of it, indicating that Vince and Brian have fought before.

Vince opposed Brian's inclusion into the team, especially since Mia favored Brian over him. However, he had a strong sense of loyalty to Dom and considered the team his family, eventually joining Dom and his team for a barbecue.

Vince was seriously injured when he was shot by a trucker, whose shipments he attempted to hijack. Brian called for a medivac. His injuries included a gunshot wound, deep lacerations, and internal bleeding. His arm was stuck on a wire but Brian freed him, but he still received scars from the wire. Vince survived his wounds, but had to flee when he became a wanted man.

Fleeing to Brazil

After free falling through South America, Vince finally arrived in Rio where he met Rosa who saved him from a downward spiral, which he blamed on Brian. They eventually married and had a son named Nico, short for Dominic (named after Dominic Toretto). After Brian and Mia were labeled fugitive for their aiding Dom in escaping his prison transport to Lompoc, they eventually fled to Rio, where they reunited with Vince. There he explained what became of him since he fled Los Angeles and offers them to partake in a heist to steal three cars on a train that were confiscated by the DEA. Despite being successful in infiltrating the train, the heist goes awry when a hitman named Zizi arrives and kills three DEA agents. Though Mia and Vince escape, Dom and Brian were captured and interrogated by corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes. Additionally, the team are framed for the deaths of the DEA agents. Though the two free themselves and escape, Vince was caught removing a computer chip from the ford GT40 they captured. When Dom demands Vince to explain, Vince admits he intended to steal the chip and deliver it to Reyes.

Days later, when Zizi and Reyes' men found Mia at a market and attempted to attack her, Vince saved her life. When Mia informed this to Brian, he thanked Vince for saving her. After making amends with Dom, Vince rejoins the team and offers to help him with their upcoming money heist. Later, after Dom surrendered himself following a brutal brawl with DSS agent Luke Hobbs, Vince, along with Dom, Mia, and Brian were arrested to be extradited back to the United States for imprisonment. However, when the DSS convoy was ambushed by Zizi and a group of militants under Reyes' orders, Vince and other crew members convinced Elena Neves to free them to take out their attackers. After Luke's team was killed during the ambush, Vince was shot and later succumbed to his gunshot wounds after saving Luke with other members of the team. Vince was later avenged when Dom and his crew were able to steal the money, with Luke killing Hernan and Brian killing Zizi. After the successful heist, Dom gave Vince's share of Reyes' money to Rosa and Nico.

Vince has a very silent cameo at the end of the intro, and he appears multiple times in archive footage of The Fast and the Furious and Fast Five.

Personality

Vince was overall an impulsive and aggresive person, always ready for a fight for the most insignificant provocation. He was very distrustful, since he was the only one in the crew who was suspitious about Brian and his constant visits to the Toretto's Market & Cafe and later joining them, although this was mainly stemmed by his jealous of him because Mia, whom Vince had a crush on since childhood, was starting to like Brian. Despite this, Vince was fiercely loyal to Dom and the crew and was always prepared to act if one of them were in danger.

Whem he met Brian and Mia in Rio de Janeiro after several years, Vince seemed to have calmed down and his recklesness was left behind. However, he was still capable of reacting with anger, as seen when Dom confronted him about the assault on the train, Vince expressed his disappointment and frustration because he never believed him even when he told him Brian was a cop. Nevertheless, Vince could leave behind his differences and join Dom and the rest.

After starting his own family Vince became more centered and mature than before, chosing to join the crew on the heist to gain money for his wife and son. In his final moments, he asked Dom to help and look after his family as his dying wish.
