Morimoto was a close friend to Takashi and is the secondary antagonist in The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

He confronts Sean Boswell with Takashi and Han Seoul-Oh when Sean is talking to Neela at the drifting site. He also confronts and beats up Twinkie when he believes Twinkie sold him a broken iPod until Sean breaks up the fight who gives Morimoto his own iPod to replace the broken one. When Takashi goes to confront Han about skimming money from his uncle's business, Morimoto accompanies him. While chasing Han and Sean, he attempts to kill Sean, and while distracted, crashes into another and dies after being rammed into by other cars.

Morimoto appears in a story quest. The player's job is to kill him.
