  • Yo, regarding your edit on the Hobbs page from about 2 weeks ago, can you please check this out and clarify in it?

  • I'm thinking we should add a car tab to the navigation bar of the Wiki (instead of having it stuck under the "Films" tab), and knowing that there can by only a limit of seven sub-tabs on the board, I'm thinking five cars on each sub tab, but which ones (aside from the obvious like the Supra and the Charger ah-la F1, the Skyline for 2F2F) would be suitable for the tab(s)?

      Loading editor
    • I'd recommend asking the community here, but I doubt we'd get a reply.

Off the top of my head...95 Eclipse, 94 Supra, 70 Charger (first movie)

      02 Lancer Evo, 03 Spyder GTS, 69 Yenko Camaro, 70 Challenger, 99 Skyline (2F2F)

The Ford Mustang, Han's Mazda RX-7, DK's Nissan Fairlady, the Nissan Silvia...maybe the Monte Carlo? or Twinkie's VW Hulk (Tokyo Drift)

Brian's 02 Skyline, Dom's 70 Chevelle (should we place the Charger again, or no), the Subaru, the F-Bomb Camaro...(FF4)

The police Chargers and the heist Chargers, the Corvette Sting Ray maybe? and the Ford GT40, for Fast Five. Maybe the Challenger & GT-R from the end scenes too.

      FF6 - Brian's Bayside blue GT-R, the 69 Camaro, 69 Daytona, Brian's Ford Escort MK I, Roman's Ford Mustang

      FF7 - Brian's Subaru, Letty's Challenger, Roman's Camaro, Dom/Letty's Cuda...and maybe Brian's Supra

If you disagree with some of the choices here, let me know. I'm just spitballing anyways, trying to think of the most memorable ones from each movie.

I made pages for the new cars of FF8, so feel free to take a look at that (I added them to the F&F cars template) and choose the five you would like to add

  • Hey Murali. Sorry for creating that Brian "would hit a woman?" tab... Do you think that was a weird thing to do...?

  • Those Eclipse were all RS. None were GS and none were 4g63 powered. Stop misinforming people.

    • Dude look at the engine when they open the hood. It's not even the engine you're claiming it is. Just because a line in the movie said they spent $80k, doesn't mean they did. And nobody in their right mind would buy one to swap a motor in when it's cheaper to buy the car with the right engine.

    • Engine info has been updated based on the source of the official car guide; however, that one staed it is a GS. If you still believe it to be an RS, feel free to post a source/link.

  • Fast Five is set in 2009. It picks up directly after Fast & Furious, which canonically took place in 2009 (the year Letty was "killed"). Mia announces her pregnancy that same year, and Jack isn't born until the year following (2010) during Fast & Furious 6, when Hobbs discloses information on Letty to Dominic and Elena ends things with him.

There's no year gap between the time they break Dominic out (F4) and when Hobbs starts hunting them down in Rio (F5). That doesn't occur until F6, and the way that's confirmed is with the birth of Jack who was conceived in 2009 and the fact that he's still an infant during F6.

The model year of the cars really can't be used to determine the in-universe timeline of the movies is determined considering they retconned Tokyo Drift (a 2006 movie using "2007" year model cars produced in 2006, and flip phones) later down the road and set the events of a the 2001 The Fast and the Furious in 2004 on account of making Letty's "death" occur the same year Fast & Furious was released (2009).

When the Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6 and Furious 7 take place is more or less dictated by the 2009 date in Fast & Furious and Jack's birth, not the individual movies release dates. If that was the case, F1 would still be 2001, F2 would still be 2003, F3 would still be 2006, F5 would be 2011, F6 would be 2013, but it's not.

^ Even Ludacris acknowledges the five year gap between the first and fourth movies..twice. :P

Yeah, and Mia mentions it's been "five years" during her conversation with Brian during the restaurant scene in F4 when she's giving him the third degree.

Yeah, but that was one line. I figured the writers had forgotten about that line but apparently not.

    • Yeah, but I figure, outside of everything they've done thus far, the "five years" thing is a big milestone for them because it's was officially when they revived the franchise after everyone thought Tokyo Drift killed it (or worse, doomed it to Direct-to-Video), and they officially brought Vin back onto the project after he turned down 2 Fast 2 Furious years ago (if only because they gave him the creative rights to Riddick). So, yeah, I think they'll always remember "it's been five years" since F&F has been hugely profitable for them.

  • Hi there! I wanted to reach out and see if you'd be interested in a wiki spiff? I'd create a new background skin, add mobile friendly polls, activate discussions, create a more image centric movie gallery, and balance out the page so that one side isn't longer than the other. Anything and everything I change is subject to your approval and can be reverted at any time. Let me know what you think. =]

  • Hello. I didn't appreciate that you block my brother on his own account when he was editing Brian O'Conner date of birth because when him and I were watching 2 fastn 2 furious that Brian date of birth is August 29th 1973 when Monica & Carter looking at Brian's record on the computer saying August 29 1973 not July 14 1978

    • Your logic is flawed. His birthdate as shown in Fast Five is July 14, 1978 under his FBI file. His birthdate shown under his undercover name Brian Spilner is August 1973 as shown in 2 Fast 2 Furious. This wikia takes his FBI file information as precedent over his undercover fake name one.
