"I'm lookin' for a car you did an engine mod on. Nitromethane tank, Ford full size, Continental tires."
Dominic Toretto[src]

The 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport is a minor car in The Fast and the Furious series.

Fast & Furious[]

Fenix drives his Ford Gran Torino during the U.S-Mexico Border Run in Fast & Furious. It is also seen in Letty Ortiz's flashback of her getting shot by Fenix. Several Drivers including Brian O'Conner and Dominic Toretto are hired to run heroin across the border while using tunnels to avoid detection. Fenix takes the role of leading the cars across the U.S-Mexico Border. Arturo Braga soon escapes to Mexico. Brian and Dominic then recapture Braga and attempt to run back to the U.S. Fenix chases Brian and Dominic while on the run back to the U.S side of the border. Fenix then T-bones Brian's Subaru and confronts him. The car's front bumper gets damaged. After Dominic rescues Brian and kills Fenix, they go to court where Dom is sentenced to 25 years to Life in Lompoc Prison.

Production Notes[]

Engine is a Ford 429 Cobra Jet with a Holley carb and fuel pump, and a K&N air filter, among other things. Hotchkis suspension, Wilwood disc brakes with rally calipers on the back, and Coy's C-67 Gun Metal 18" rims complete the ride.
